Winds cause studio energy black outs

The gusty winds that raked the Southland produced head aches for galleries and filmmakers but did not have the symptoms of left any major damage. Areas of the Vital lot on Melrose Avenue and CBS's Hollywood galleries were without energy Thursday morning however the lots continued to be open. Reps for Disney, Warner Bros., Fox, The new sony and Universal reported Thursday their facilities were operating as always. The Town of los angeles Park Film Office was instructed to close because of a energy outage from high winds and being short-staffed because they need to survey property for damage, based on FilmL.A.'s Todd Lindgren. "What this means is no demands for filming home loan approvals which use Park property is going to be approved today," Lindgren added. In Santa Clarita, where winds over 90 mph were registered throughout the evening, no damage was reported along with a quartet of series -- "JUstified," "Franklin and Party," "Allow It To Be or Break It," "Switched at Birth" -- were filming on Thursday morning. "We understood by Monday these winds were coming so everybody required safeguards," stated spokesperson Mike Delorenzo. "That meant ensuring things were tied lower safely."
