Ben Stiller to get British Comedy Award

La (AP) Ben Stiller has been honored for his comedy contributions through the British Academy of Film and tv.The group's La branch states Stiller will get the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy.Veteran producer Nigel Lythgoe known as Stiller "an expert of comedy who, similar to the legendary filmmaker to whom this award is named, brings together the amazing multi-hyphenate talents of actor, author, director and producer."Lythgoe can serve as chairman of BAFTA La.Stiller will get the recognition in the Brittania Honours on November. 30, when actress Helena Bonham Carter and animator John Lasseter are also being recognized.The 45-year-old Stiller has gained box-office success and critical acclaim like a author, director, actor and producer.
